TOUR IN SUPPORT OF WIDELY ACCLAIMED ALBUM BREAKUP THE CONCRETE
The Pretenders announced a tour through North American starting January 29 at the Palace Theatre in Albany, NY with the final show taking place on March 14 in Reno, Nevada. The tour is the band's first extensive headlining tour since 2003.
The Pretenders touring line up of Chrissie Hynde Martin Chambers, James Walbourne, Eric Heywood, and Nick Wilkinson is touring in support of the band's ninth album, Break Up The Concrete which was released through Shangri-La Music in October of 2008. The album, which Rolling Stone lauded as, "The best Pretenders album in years," was recorded in 12 days in Los Angeles and offers an especially gritty and immediate and recalls the band's earlier days. The album has spawned the single "Boots Of Chinese Plastic" which reached #1 on the AAA radio chart.

MySpace Music proudly presents the global premiere of iconic alternative rock band Smashing Pumpkins' new music video for their latest single "G.L.O.W." The song, "G.L.O.W," was released by the Smashing Pumpkins and marks the first time a band has recorded a new song exclusively for the Guitar Hero® franchise which was released afterwards.
The band is in the midst of a North American tour tour celebrating their 20th anniversary, playing two night stands (with different set lists for each night) in most of the cities on the tour route. The Smashing Pumpkins have more than 270,000 friends on MySpace.

Rumors have been swirling for a while about a possible Creed reunion, and it is starting to appear likely.
Creed broke up in 2004, and most everyone remembers not only the wild success of the band before the split, but the bitterness and drama surrounding the break up. At one point, disappointed concert-goers were actually suing the band for such poor performances from Stapp who was often too intoxicated to remember the lyrics or keep himself upright through an entire song.
Stapp was replaced by Myles Kennedy and the name was changed to Alter Bridge. While Alter Bridge has never come anywhere near the success of Creed, Kennedy is well-respected for his performing abilities. He is currently being seriously considered to replace Robert Plant in an upcoming Led Zeppelin tour. Meanwhile, the remaining Alter Bridge members are reaching out to their fallen star.

Los Angeles pop-rock duo Oh No Not Stereo are taking their high-energy live show to the United Kingdom this December, where they will open for Bayside and Hit The Lights during a week-long jaunt. The group has enlisted Airin Older of Sugarcult to play bass for the tour, and will perform as a four-piece with Jussi Karvinen on second guitar.
Oh No Not Stereo are releasing their second full-length record, “003,” digitally on January 13th, and physically in March. The album was produced by the band with assistance from Jim Wirt (Incubus, Live, Something Corporate) and Max Coane (Jack’s Mannequin, The Rocket Summer, The Bronx). Special-edition packaging of the LP will include an additional EP, “004.”

Canadian punk rockers Simple Plan are raising money for Teenage Cancer Trust through a special auction on eBay.
The auction includes a signed Epiphone Les Paul Special II electric guitar, framed artwork from Simple Plan's self-titled third album, a signed set list from their Liverpool show, a signed tour poster, a signed set of albums and a Simple Plan swag pack with tour tshirt, hoody and signed album.
Simple Plan, who played four UK dates as part of their European tour, will be donating all the money raised to Teenage Cancer Trust. The auction will close at 8.30pm on Sunday 7 December.
Cancer awareness is an important cause to the band, as lead singer Pierre Bouvier’s brother Jay was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma cancer at the age of 28. Now in remission, Bouvier’s illness inspired the band to include cancer awareness as one of the initiatives of the band’s charity, the Simple Plan Foundation.
