This Town Needs Guns tour

With the release of their highly anticipated debut album edging ever nearer, up and coming Oxford indie types This Town Needs Guns are hitting the road through September and October, bringing their set of animal entitled songs with them.

The album, cleverly entitled 'Animals', is made up of 13 new tracks including forthcoming singles 'Panda' (released 6th October) and 'Pig', taken from the split single with Pennines (22nd September). Taking inspiration from the ever-influential Chicago indie/math scene (see Don Caballero, Owls, Joan of Arc, Maps and Atlases et al) the band have spent the past couple of years perfecting the balance between technical and catchy music, bringing a new meaning to the phrase "accomplished musicians."

Previous tours alongside the likes of I Was A Cub Scout, the much-missed Meet Me In St Louis and Rolo Tomassi as well as releases in Australia and Japan tucked safely under their belts, This Town Needs Guns will be touring Europe in December before making their first trip over to the US in early 2009.

'Animals' is released via Big Scary Monsters Records on CD on 13th October and digitally on 6th Oct. TTNG play the following live dates:
